Biography
Joseph Pesek received his B.S. degree in Chemistry from the University of Illinois, Urbana and his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles. He did a one-year postdoctoral fellowship at UCLA before becoming Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Northern Illinois University. He moved to San Jose State University becoming Professor of Chemistry and has also served as Department Chair, and Dean for Graduate Studies and Research. He has over 225 publications, 3 books, 4 patents and has made over 200 presentations at a variety of symposia and meetings. He is one of the editors for the Journal of Separation Science.

Biography
Employed at Polymer Institute, Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava. Served as elected member of the Presidium of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, President of the Slovak Chemical Society, Chairman of the Czecho-Slovak and Slovak National Committee of Chemistry for IUPAC. Corresponding member of the Central European Academy of Sciences and member of the Learned Society of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. Author or co-author of two monographs and 250+ scientific papers in extenso published in refereed periodicals, proceedings and chapters of books, as well as 60+ patents (four of them were licensed) - cited more than 2,000x. Presented over 110 invited plenary, key and main lectures, as well as over 900 regular lectures and poster contributions on symposia and conferences and during lecturing tours to over fourty countries. Elected „Slovak scientist of the year 1999“ and „Slovak innovator of the year 2001“.

Biography
Dr Kamberi holds a double major in chemical engineering & industrial chemistry. She received her PhD from Oita University in Oita, Japan and completed postdoctoral studies from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. Dr Kamberi has over 25 years of pharmaceutical experience with increasing levels of responsibility across functional disciplines including analytical R&D, bioanalytical, pre-clinical research, quality control and stability. She is currently the director of Analytical Chemistry, Bioanalytical, Stability at Abbott Vascular in Santa Clara, California, a worldwide premier medical device organization. Marika is author/co-author of more than 50 papers published in peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters, and of 10 US patents.
